Modern Nose Clinic is pleased to welcome Shane Hamacher, MD, to our team. Dr. Hamacher is an otolaryngologist with experience caring for patients across a broad range of ear, nose, and throat conditions.
Dr. Hamacher earned his medical degree from the University of Central Florida College of Medicine and completed his residency in Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery at the University of Kansas School of Medicine. Since completing his residency, he has practiced otolaryngology in a variety of clinical settings in Alaska, Montana, Washington, and Colorado.
Before becoming a physician, Dr. Hamacher spent more than 15 years serving in the United States Air Force as a fighter pilot, instructor pilot, and international affairs specialist. During his military career, he accumulated more than 2,000 flight hours and held leadership assignments around the world. His experience as both an aviator and physician has shaped a thoughtful, disciplined approach to problem-solving, teamwork, and patient care.
Dr. Hamacher has also contributed to research and education in otolaryngology, including work examining how training principles developed in fighter aviation can be applied to surgical education.
Outside of medicine, Dr. Hamacher enjoys flying, skiing,hiking and backpacking, tennis, and a variety of other sports. He is also anadvanced Russian linguist and has studied Spanish.
