At the Modern Nose Clinic, we offer a variety of techniques to reconstruct a collapsing lateral nasal wall. Here, a patient discusses his experience with Latera.

Dr. Skarada:

This is Doug Skarada and this is one of my patients. I won't use his name, but he underwent an awake in-office procedure that – to reconstruct the lateral nasal wall. We called Latera, and I was wondering if you could share what the experience was like. Do you – did you have any pain at the time of the procedure?

Patient:

No pain at all. It was, actually, really painless and effortless on my part. Coming in, staff was great. They came in, sat down. Procedure was quick, in and out. And they explained everything really well.

Dr. Skarada:

Do you have any advice for someone else who might be considering doing this. In regards to, if he did the procedure on a Friday, what would they be able to reasonably expect to be able to do the following day?

Patient:

Pretty much anything. It'll be a little sore, but you can resume normal activities the next day.

Dr. Skarada:

That's great. Any other advice or thoughts for someone who might be considering Latera?

Patient:

Do it. It made for a huge difference for me by being able to breathe in and actually take a full breath instead of a half breath like what I was doing before.

Dr. Skarada:

Thank you very much. We really appreciate it, and I hope that there will be patients who will listen to this and this will answer some of their questions. Signing off. Doug Skarada with the Modern Nose Clinic.
